About Seth
I know a good idea when I see one. My buddy Steve has a blog he’s kept for years, and I like the style of his short, interesting posts about observations of life, technology, and whatever he feels like writing.
I am a tinkerer, which leads me to do a lot of home repair and improvement projects. A while back, a long time friend encouraged me to blog about these. Hence, the name of this blog, Man Handles. Kind of like mansplaining things, but I’m man handling them and it’s also a play on the fact that some of us carry around extra fat on our hips. Plus, I had a business idea once when bringing your own shopping bag to the grocery store was a new thing. I thought I would design a line of bags that a man would be happy to carry into a store and I would call that company and that product Man Handles.
So I think I’ll copy Steve’s example, and post a bit of my work around the house, and my bikes, and whatever else I feel like writing about.
I’m an engineer by training which means I love science, but I like real life solutions even better. I started my career in the medical device industry, but the last 20+ years, I’ve been in the IT business as a technologist, and industry analyst/pundit, and now a CIO for a local Native American tribe.
