Leaving NYC yesterday after a quick visit with my parents and sister. Ironically colder and snowier here than the Santa Fe. Our plane needed de-icing. They also sprayed a second coat which was anti-icing fluid. Anti-ice fluid is designed to shear off during takeoff, apparently so the airplane can still get proper lift!
